Macquarie Fields Station Upgrade

Project Overview

The Macquarie Fields Station upgrade delivers a significant step forward in accessibility and passenger experience for South-West Sydney. Located along the T8 South Line, this project enhances safe and equitable station access for all users — from new overbridge lifts to redesigned entries and compliant connections across the site.

The works involved the design and delivery of key infrastructure improvements in line with Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design principles. In partnership with TfNSW and Campbelltown Council, the project successfully brings together practical upgrades and future-focused infrastructure design.

Key features include:

  • New accessible paths between transport modes and the station
  • Accessible station entries and platform connections
  • New overbridge and DSAPT-compliant stairs
  • Two new lifts and extended weather protection on platforms
  • Power supply upgrade and associated services relocation
  • Refurbishment of station amenities and building spaces

The works provide lasting value to the Macquarie Fields community and future-proof the station for growing passenger needs.
